If you have an item list that you want to use in Case, then you can enter it into an item XLSX file, and then import the XLSX file into your item table in the admin, settings area.
Case provides a template file that you can use as a guide to create your own item list to import into your Case platform that can be accessed here or downloaded at the bottom of this article.
Steps:
Login as an admin, and go to Settings.
Click on Items.
Click the Upload button, and Upload Items from the menu,
Select or drop your item .xlsx file into file drop zone
Click Upload to begin the bulk upload and wait for the process to complete.
Description of the item XLSX file
Review the following considerations for the items XLSX file:
The template supports column headers, so these can remain on the sheet. You can use the Item XLSX template to help you to create your XLSX file.
The following columns are required and must be present (these values cannot be blank). Every product must have a defined-
Item Code
Description
Type
If data is missing in these fields, then you receive an error when you import your XLSX file. All uploaded data is case sensitive. The capitalization on the XLSX file will match how the data appears throughout the platform!
Column | Description |
Item Code* | Define a unique Item Code for the item (alphanumeric). |
Description* | A description of the item, such as full name and size of item |
Type* | Each item must be defines as one of the following - Instrument, Implant, Combined, Consumable, Capital, Other |
Rebate Code | An alphanumeric code that will be shown against item on Proforma |
Value | A $ value for the item used as default for Proforma (supports 2 decimal places if required i.e 550.90) |
GTIN | The GTIN code for the item (where available). GTINs can be 8, 12, 13, or 14 digits in length |
Checklist Description | An alternative item description that is used for all checklists and bookings flows. |
Batch Control | YES or NO to define if LOT/Serial data needs to be assigned to this item within the application |
Image URL | A URL link for an image of the item (jpeg or png) Used only in situations where item images exist and are managed in an alternative cloud based system. |
When you import item data, your file must be in .xlsx format. Most spreadsheet applications can save files in this format with the Save As or Export command, depending on the program.
