Export the BOM you want to duplicate
1. Open Kits menu
2. Locate the kit you want to duplicate
3. Click on the BOM section
4. Click the action button
5. Click "Export BOM"
6. This will export and save a JSON file to your downloads
Create New Kit
Tip: The new kit is where you can change the name of the kit
7. Click "Add Kit"
8. Enter details of the NEW kit
9. Click "Add Kit"
10. Find the kit in the list and click on the line to open action panel
11. Click the 'Bill of Material' section
12. Click the action section
13. Click "Import BOM"
14. Select the file you downloaded earlier of the BOM you want to copy. It is a JSON file.
15. The new BOM will now import and populate sections in the new kit your created.
Alert: This import does NOT import images.
16. Check the BOM
Add the images for sections
17. Find the original kit you copied
18. Open The 'BOM'
19. Enter the section of BOM
20. Expand the image
21. Right-click this image as press 'Save As. Name this appropriately
22. Do this for all the sections with images in the original BOM. Make sure you label them appropriately
23. Go back into the NEW kit BOM
24. Click on the section
25. Click "Edit"
26. Upload the Images you just saved from old BOM and save all changes
Add details to Kit
Link to brand
27. Click 'brands' here.
28. Select brand to link to
29. Click "Submit"
Add Manufacturer
30. Click here.
Add a version number
31. Click this text field.
32. Click "Save Changes"
Create / Set NEW sets for the new kit
33. Click 'sets'
34. Click "Add Set"
35. create new SET SERIAL NUMBER
36. Click the "Size" field.
37. Click "Add Set"
Link set to NEW kit / BOM
38. Find the set you need, click on line to open action panel
39. Click the Kit ID
40. Select the NEW kit you created to link the set to the kit
41. Click "Submit"
42. Click "Save Changes"
