This short article will show you the steps required to create a new consignment count and how these counts can increase count efficiencies by referencing item lists (BOM).

From the Customers tab, select the Counts Panel, click on the Add Count button to launch the Create Count page.

To create a New Consignment Count begin by selecting a count location from the carousel. If the selected location has consigned sets/kits then you will be asked if you would like to create a consignment count or ignore consigned data and continue with a Free Count.

1. A Consignment Count is an inventory count that is referencing item information from a predefined Bill of Materials. It is a semi-blind count that provides the user with a list of items and their anticipated quantities that can be used as a started point and modified accordingly. On top of this predefined item list users can add items manually via the scanning functionality to pull data from barcodes, labels or to manually type item related information such as REF and Expiry information into the count.

2. With Consignment Count Selected the lists will automatically update allow an option to choose a set to count from a list of all sets consigned to that location. The user must select a Kit from the available options.

3. If applicable a user can select a Sub-location from the carousel. Note: Inventory sub-locations need to be added to the Location in settings via an Admin in order to be available in the carousel.

4. If desired add a Count Name to this count for additional future reference (not mandatory).

5. A count can also be given a Due Date which will prompt any assigned users if the Count reaches its due date and has yet to be completed. (Not mandatory)

Click Create to complete the Add New Count process

NOTE: Admins can view and edit all counts in their organisation.

NOTE: A count can only be submitted once and by a single user.

When you hit Create it will launch the following modal allowing you to start the count immediately or save the count and come back to it at a later date.

If you start the consignment count here you are immediately taken to the BOM for the selected kit and can view the sections included in the kit. The number of sections can vary between kits, and all will be listed.

Begin by selecting a section to view the expected items and quantities.

From this item view the user can scroll through and use the search function to determine the stock levels on hand match those in the list. The quantity of each item can be adjusted via the + and - touch buttons.

When all the items in this list (section) have been counted the User hits the Done button to confirm and go back to the section screen.

When all the sections have been done (marked with a check mark) then the user can progress to the Summary Screen (this button is deactivated until all sections are Done).

The Summary view pulls into a list view all of the items from all of the sections along with the user defined quantities.

From here the user can Add additional items that are not already within the kit or click to make changes to any of the list items.

Hit the add button (bottom left) to launch the scan mode or to go back to the BOM to make changes. If adding items via the scan mode hit the scan type in the top left (for example GS1) to launch the Scan Mode selector page.

Selecting one of the available modes takes you immediately back to the scanning screen to allow you to continue capturing item information.

When a barcode is successfully scanned the user can adjust the QTY using the + or - buttons accordingly or click on the number to launch the keypad and type a new number.

To manually add items hit the keyboard icon in the scanning view to launch the keyboard and manual input section.

When all items are added or BOM quantities adjusted go back to the Summary screen and Submit the count.
